Just about every resume submitted online will go through an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); a software program designed to scan and store resumes before it gets to a recruiter or hiring manager. It’s up to the ATS system to determine if you’re a good fit for the online posting. Crazy huh? A computer system deciding if you’re qualified or not. The program is designed with filters that weed you out if certain criterion doesn’t show up on your resume.
